Gun control nonsense...

Stephanie Gutmann wrote this blog entry/editorial, posted in the UK Telegraph. It is a pretty good piece on Carolyn McCarthy and why the "Long Island Massacre", in which her husband was murdered, is not the best example of why we need gun control.
...but if a few other passengers had had concealed handguns, Ferguson wouldn't have been allowed to stroll calmly the length of the train car, selecting targets like some kind of connoisseur of killing.
Ferguson, the shooter, reloaded three times. When he stopped to reload for the fourth time he was wrestled to the floor by passengers. Had they the means, Ferguson would have never made through he first magazine. I know all about grief over the murder of a family member. I chose to blame those responsible rather than the object used. She's not that bright. On the other hand can you imagine a successful campaign for the banning or licensing of tire jacks?
