AG Barr Directs DOJ To Go After States, Localities Violating Civil Liberties Over Coronavirus

I will, if you will

I was discussing the actions of our State Government in regard to COVID19 and was told I need to leave politics out of it. I told him I would when he did. The Democrats don't want politics in this crisis. Specifically, Republican politics. Theirs are just fine. Never let a crisis go to waste.

We need more of this.

Noy just in regard to our Second Amendment rights but in regard to the extent a Governor can play King during an emergency. In any event Governor Northam tried to push his anti-gun agenda under the cover of his emergency powers and got a slap down. More please.

On the California Ammo Ban...

...and that's essentially what the Communist Legislature intended it to be even if that not what they called it.
Today, California Attorney General Becerra asked U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez for a stay of the injunction pending appeal. This afternoon, the motion was denied; the balance of the equities did not favor unconstitutionally preventing law-abiding Californians from acquiring ammunition. The Attorney General then filed a notice of interlocutory appeal with the Ninth Circuit.
So, it's off to the 9th Circuit races but in the mean time Californians can stock up on ammo to their heart's content.

The Smallest Minority on the Candian Mass Shooting

So a Canadian whack-job goes on a 12-hour shooting and arson spree, killing at least 23 people before suicide-by-cop. No mention of what weapon(s) the killer used, but Prime Minister Trudeau came out immediately stating that Canada was going to implement an "assault weapon" ban.

Twelve hours. Offhand, I'd say the Canadian government has done a bang-up job of disarming its citizens.

Would a shooter have gotten the twelves hours this bozo got here in the United States beforea cop, a citizen with a CCW, or a homeowner popped him. Can't say for sure but I suspect spree would have been curtailed much quicker.

Operation Flash, Episodes 1 -3 by Nitay Arbel

A nice alternative history where German Army officers succeed in assassinating Hilter. Germany falls into civil war while still battling the Soviets on the Eastern Front. Their only hope is a separate peace with Great Britain. It well done and believable. I don't have the historical knowledge to say whether the details are right. I did enjoy it through. the one problem is I think it needed to be longer. It kinda just stops. I do still recommend it though.

GRNC ALERT: Stop Exploitation of COVID-19 to Push Voter Fraud.

Stop Exploitation of COVID-19 to Push Voter Fraud.

...and that is a WIN for the good guys.

Judge Tosses California Ammunition Purchase Law

A federal judge on Thursday blocked a California law requiring background checks for people buying ammunition, issuing a sharply worded rebuke of “onerous and convoluted” regulations that violate the constitutional right to bear arms.

I assume California will appeal and we will have to see what happens when it hits the Ninth Circuit. Maybe Trumps recent appointments will have an effect.

The Pursuit of the Pankera by Robert A. Heinlein

I've read that this novel is Heinlein's The Number of the Beast for the first third and diverges in a different direction. Honestly, I don't remember that novel and how it ended well enough to say one way or the other. The Number of the Beast was one of the few Heinlein novels I read once and never had any desire to read again. As for The Pursuit of the Pankera, I read it. I enjoyed it, but not enough that I anticipate reading it again. I'd say if you are a Heinlein fan you owe it to yourself to read it. If you haven't read him before there are other books you should read first. Like everything thing else he wrote other than The Number of the Beast and Beyond This Horizon. If you must, know this. Heinlein at his worst is better than most other writers in their prime. Now go, and do what you will.

Spot On

Top Ten Surprising Consequences of Covid-19 Hysteria:

1: Democrat governors rediscover federalism.
2: Wanna-be totalitarians can’t help but unmask themselves.
3: Trump gets a daily platform to smack the media around (watched by millions).
4: The CDC is exposed as just another dysfunctional gov. agency.
5: FDA, same as above.
6: WHO, same as FDA, CDC.
7: The US media is in China’s pocket.
8: “Models” completely useless except to frighten citizens.
9: We now know Nancy Pelosi has a $24,000.00 fridge.

And the 10th most surprising consequence of the Covid-19 hysteria? Donald Trump was right about China the whole time, and everybody who didn’t know it before knows it now.

In Neptune, Florida...

...three thugs decided in engage in a home invasion. The resident was home. Several shots later one was wounded and all running for their lives. Run, rabbits, run. Video below.

In Pennsyvania...

...somewhere in Philadelphia, three teenage males attacked a CCW permit holder on a bus and got shot in their legs for their trouble. That looks like a restrained response to me, or bad markmanship, but the local PD are on the case and the outcome for the victim is dependent on them. Good Luck.

Just Saying...

US virus numbers now include probable cases without tests
Our political masters are using numbers like these and faulty computer models to justify their destruction of our economy and the usurpation of our Constitutional rights. Part of this is every COVID19 death means more Federal money in the State and local government coffers. This rest is pure power grab.

A Win for the Good Guys

So Durham designated gun shops as non-essential and ordered them closed for the duration of the COVID19 pandemic. Grassroots North Carolina threatened a lawsuit AAANND El Jefe, excuse me, Mayor Stephen Schewel backed down. Why? His lawyers told him they were gonna lose AND have to pay the good guys legal fees. Nice to see he has the strength of his convictions. Oh well, any win is a win.
