No on Holder

Over at Mike Vanderboegh's Sipsey Street Irregulars and David Codrea's The War on Guns they're hitting the NRA pretty hard on their not opposing the nomination of Eric Holder as AG. Sebastion over at Snowflakes in Hell argues that the NRA would be wasting "political capital" to fight the nomination since his approval is a foregone conclusion. Better to save that capital for another fight.

I gave up on the NRA quite awhile back. I've seen them sabotage local grassroots gun groups at the state level because they know best. Their compromise has cost us dearly over the years. They seem more interested in their power than our rights. Enough. Its time to put up or shut up. We can't afford to give up anything else. The antis will see a loss as weakness, but they'll see refusal to fight as weakness too. It's better to fight.
