We are Winning...

...in the fallout after Bruen. These are mostly District Court level victories like the link below. The cases the Supreme Court remanded back to the Circuit Court have been remanded back to the Disctrict Courts in what I see as a delaying tactic. The liberal Circuit Courts want time to figure out a workaround as they did for the most part in their responses to Heller and McDonald. Whether we will continue to win will be determined by what happens when they reach the Circuits again. This is a knife fight and it ain't gonna be pretty.

Not Enough Bruises

The gentlemen who held this evil git for the police exercised a lot of restriant. I guess that's a good thing.

There's a Solution to This...

...but New York politicians would rather their citizens be victims.
Two pedestrians — including European tourist — shot while refusing muggers in separate NYC incidents

Man beaten with bat, critically hurt in NYC subway station: cops

WATCH: Ax-wielding man threatens patrons in NYC McDonald's

The solution is let people protect themselves. Let people legally carry concealed without the bullshit restrictions. Stop intentionally violating the Second Amendment rights of New York residents. "But if we do that there will be blood in the streets!" There's already blood in your streets. It's the blood of innocents while the trash runs rampant. It's time to turn the tables.

Church of the Perpetually Offended

Interesting, This Is...

...and a big f@*ck you to the socail media platforms and their fortification efforts.
Fifth Circuit Rejects First Amendment Challenge to Texas Social Media Common Carrier Law

In urging such sweeping relief, the platforms offer a rather odd inversion of the First Amendment. That Amendment, of course, protects every person's right to "the freedom of speech." But the platforms argue that buried somewhere in the person's enumerated right to free speech lies a corporation's unenumerated right to muzzle speech.

....

Today we reject the idea that corporations have a freewheeling First Amendment right to censor what people say. Because the district court held otherwise, we reverse its injunction and remand for further proceedings.

Usagi Yojimbo

As stated before, I'm a big Usagi Yojimbo fan. Mostly I get the comics,  hardcovers, and original art and have been Stan Sakai created the character in the early eighties. Recently I've picked t-shirts, caps, pins and stickers. I just love Usagi. I bought three of NECA's new Usagi collectible action figures. I'm almost sixty-two years old and I'm buying toys...to play with. That is, toys that don't go bang.

Janet Yellen Warns High Gas Prices May Be Right Around The Corner
Anyone who didn't realize that the drop in gas prices was an attempt to mitigate the abject failure of the Biden Administration for the last two years isn't paying attention or a Democrat. If the Democrats come out ahead in the midterms it will be a return to their prior policy. If they lose, it will be to punish those evil Republicans who stole the election from them.

Thor: Love and Thunder

I watched this with reservations. It was based on what I consider one of the pooper Thor story arcs, that being Jane Fister as Thor. I started to watch it and shut it d own after about five minutes. Waititi's sense of humor is tends toward sillinessand he protrays Thor as an insufferable self-centered ass. I was okay with it in Thor: Ragnarok but not so much the second time around. Too much. I understood why the Guardians of the Galaxt made a run for it early on. Picked up where I left off that evening and discovered after about ten or fifteen minutes in it was watchable. By the end I was invested in the characters and gave a crap what happened to them. It isn't the best of the Marvels but it is better than the latest Doctor Strange and all of the recent TV. I know that's not saying much. Average but not a waste of time.

Stan Sakai's Usagi Yojimbo is Coming Back to Dark Horse...

...and that's a good thing. I can't say anything bad about the current publisher IDW except a certain issue with hardcovers, but IDW has hit hard times recently losing a lot of IP. Dark Horse is on firmer ground. Conragulations Mr. Sakai and good fortune.
