Bill Whittle: Racial Racket Ball

Homeowner comes home to find stranger in his house.

He grabbed a pistol and ordered the home invader face down on the floor. The bad guy complied and lived to go to jail. That's a happy ending of a sort.

Turns out The victim had a concealed carry permit and his assailant has been charged. Good.

Bill Whittle: The Road to Hell

Obamanomics in one easy cartoon.

Who says bureaucrats can't learn from experience.

Why the CDC still isn’t researching gun violence, despite the ban being lifted two years ago
They're afraid of a repeat of 1996 when Congress stripped them of 2.6 million used for gun control research.

Good.

Bill Whittle: E Pluribus Unum

We all saw this one coming.

Former cop suing gun shop after he accidentally shoots himself
That a gun store owner had a loaded pistol on display was utterly irresponsible as was the clerk handing a weapon to a customer without checking to make sure said weapon was safe, BUT the customer was a police officer and supposedly trained in the use of firearms. He should have checked the weapon to make sure it was safe when it was handed to him. Lots of fault to go around here.

Do Not Submit! Republish the Mohammed Cartoons Everywhere. Here’s How.

Twelve dead because they exercised their right to free speech. They killed people because of a frickin' cartoon.

That being said...

Western Militaries are fully capable of finding and killing these evil gits and their associates. Western intelligence and law enforcement agencies have built a good track record of stopping things like this before they occur, but they still occur and the only way to stop them is on the ground as they occur. The police can't be everywhere and the killing has already started before they arrive. You know where I'm headed. The gun control laws of nations like France and Australia, ya know, those progressive civilized countries, enable incidents such as this. Armed citizens, armed staff members, armed cartoonists might have made a difference. I don't say that they would have. I don't know that. I do know that had the staff members of Charlie Hedbo been armed, they would have had a chance.

Rule #4: Be sure of your target and what lies beyond it.

The officer who escorted Steele to her home reportedly tried to break up the altercation, and while he was attempting to intervene, the family’s dog reportedly approached. The officer allegedly felt threatened by the dog and pulled out his gun to shoot it. As he fired shots at the dog, one of them reportedly hit the 34-year-old mother in the chest.
I would think the charge should be involuntary manslaughter or the local equivalent, but I'll not hold my breath.

Just because you are wearing a uniform...

...doesn't mean you have a clue as to what you are doing.
Fayetteville Det. Mike Whitlow said a call of a person shot came into 911 at approximately 12:30p.m. Friday. Officers responded, finding that the supervisor of the security guard on duty at the bank had accidentally shot herself while inspecting her subordinate’s handgun, Whitlow said.
H/T to The Duck.

Fixed it for you.

Erlanger police officer Darryl Jouett had just had dinner and was heading back to his car with his wife when he negligently discharged his duty-issue .40-caliber semiautomatic handgun discharged inside the elevator. The bullet ricocheted off the wall and struck him in the stomach, according to Capt. Mike John, District 1 Commander for the Cincinnati Police Department.
Keep your finger off the trigger and this won't happen.

H/T to The Duck.

[UPDATE: 1/5/2015]

Note to police.

Choose your battles. All of this over a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge? Seriously? The police chose to fight and lost. They lost more that this battle. They lost credibility. It'll happen again.

In prohibitionist New York...

...a retired New York cop goes to the hospital because of insomnia and has his guns seized under the NY SAFE Act. In a prohibitionist's paradise this is what happens. This is what Bloomberg and his cronies want for all of us. The ex-cop is suing. Good.
