Biden Did This

White House blames Putin for skyrocketing gas prices
I won't say that at this point Putin isn't contributing to the increase in gas prices, but it's Biden's policies that made that possible. If he had continued Trumps energy policies the price of gas wouldn't be nearly as high. Instead he letting the greens run the shoe and gas has topped $4 a gallon. Blaming it on Russia and accusing out own oil companies of the rapid rise is an out and out lie. Now, as to Ms. Psaki. She can't open her lying mouth with out lying. 'nuff said.

It's what they do.

Lie.

In Washington State...

Supporters of I-594 claim 80% of prison inmates obtained guns through private transfers, but according to the U.S. Department of Justice statistics from 1993-2011 and again in 2013, 77% got them through “fencing, drug dealers, burglary, or other on-the-street illegal black-market operations.” Opponents say this law won’t have any effect on criminals getting guns.
You'll notice here that the prohibitionists provide a statistic to prove their case but neglect to provide details that would show their statistic is utter bullshit. Like I said, they lie. Here it is by omission.

The other issue here is we have billionaires supporting gun control with large cash donations. Billionaires that have no need to own a personal weapon for self-defense because they have protective details armed to the teeth. Gun control is for the little people. Hypocrisy is for the rich.

Media Bias and the Brady Bunch

What do you call a publication that publishes an organization's press release as if it were a news story? You don't call it a newspaper, and what ever claim Salem-News had to the title just went down the toilet.

Salem-News published a story on Tom Coburn's [R-OK] amendment to the Credit Cardholders Bill of Rights Act of 2009 which would repeal the gun ban on National Park Service and National Wildlife Refuge System land. It says that if local and state laws allow the carrying of firearms and a park is within that locality or state then carry is legal inside that park. Except you would never know this by reading the story in the Salem-News.

The "story" is the equivalent of the blood in the streets arguments pushed by the Brady Bunch when the Florida Legislature originally passed concealed carry. That's not surprising since the "story" was provided by the Brady Bunch. At the bottom of the piece was this: "SENT AS A COURTESY OF THE BRADY CAMPAIGN TO PREVENT GUN VIOLENCE". Maybe that line should have led the story to avoid a conflict of interest? Maybe it should have been clearly labeled as an op-ed? Maybe someone should have done a fact check prior to publication? Maybe the editors at the Salem-News need to look for other work since determining the difference between propaganda and news is clearly beyond them.

Before Arranging Playdates, Ask About Guns

ABC asks suggests to the parent Before Arranging Playdates, Ask About Guns . Parents are responsible for their children and have to make a decision as to whether they want them in a house that does or does not have guns in it. I'd rather have my kids in a home where the adults have accepted responsibility for the safety of my child rather than turfed ot off to the police. But my problem with the piece is this...
Daniel Gross, the CEO and co-founder of PAX, the nation's largest nonpartisan gun violence prevention organization, said that 40 percent of homes with children have a gun.

"Nearly 1.7 million children live in homes with firearms that are loaded and unlocked, and every day eight children die from guns," he said. "These statistics are unacceptable.
Your are right Mr. Gross these statistics are unacceptable. Was it Mark Twain that said lies, damn lies, and statistics? That statistic falls into the damn lies category because of what it doesn't tell you. Child is defined as age 0-19. The stat includes those killed as a result of suicide and criminal violence. It doesn't tell you that most criminal violence in this country is carried out by males age 16-20. Seventy percent are adults age 17-20 engaged in criminal activity.

I don't know how many children die from accidental firearms injuries each day. I don't know how many of those deaths take place in a private home. I do know it is substantially less than eight.
