...ok with stretching the rules a tad to make work easier for the good guys. Under no means do I support drop kicking due process out the window so that gun control supporters like Mikey Bloomberg can use the no fly list to strip people of their Constitutional rights. Bloomberg wants people on the no fly list barred from purchasing firearms. The no fly list is so screwed up no “reasonable” person should even consider using it as a standard for anything even its current purpose. Little kids have been barred from flying because they share a name with someone on the list. Appealing your name on the list is next to impossible. No one even really understands the Feds process for putting someone on the list but we’re supposed use it as a standard for stripping a person of their rights. This is what Bloomberg wants us at the mercy of so he can further his gun control agenda. My right to possess and carry a firearm is a Constitutional, civil, and human right. I won’t give 'em up. Read into that what you will.

A couple of items of interest.

Federal Judge Victoria Roberts ordered the Hutaree militia arrestees released on bail. They've still got to face their day in court, but it feels like the judge spanked the Justice Department. I've no opinion on their guilt or innocence. It does seem to me the prosecutor should be less concerned with holding back info to protect his case than giving the judge what she needed to justify holding them. That is if the prosecutors had a case to begin with. Also the timing of the arrests smelled.

I posted yesterday on Time's Square bomb and Bloomberg's agenda in wanting it to be a lone wolf bomber. Today we get this bit where Mikey says

the bomber was someone who is “mentally deranged” with a “political agenda” that didn’t like the health care bill.

Mikey, you wish. Me, I just wish he, and others, would shut their pie holes until the investigators have done their jobs.

Whose bomb is it anyway?

Somebody tried to set off a bomb in Times Square. That’s not exactly news any more since everybody and his brother is jabbering about it. Why should I be any different. I understand a Taliban bomb maker claimed responsibility for the bomb. The guys over at Long War Journal acknowledge it's at least a possibility and seem to know what they’re talking about. Mikey Bloomberg and Chucky Schumer are on the news claiming it’s not terrorism and that a “lone wolf” must be responsible. The reasons given are the bomb was amateurish and it didn't work. God knows the underwear bombs Al Qaeda build always work. I don’t know one way or the other, but if I had to pick who might have a not so hidden agenda at who they point their fingers at it wouldn’t be those pointing them at the Taliban. Mikey and Chucky have a proven track record.

Plane crashed into building in Texas

A nut job crashed a plane into a building in Austin Texas. I skimmed the screed he left behind and have concluded that he was a self-absorbed asshole. He lit up his house with his family inside and crashed into a building housing people, IRA employees included, who had done nothing to him. If he managed to kill anyone but himself my condolences go out to their families. As for him, some are calling him a terrorist. The only problem I have with that is I don’t think he really had an ideology other than the ideology of me and isn’t ideology an element of terrorism?

Update: Apparently his family was not in the house when he set it on fire.

Would that be the system that put the bomber’s name on a list after his daddy outed him to the US embassy in Nigeria but didn’t prevent him getting on a plane with a bomb? Would that be the system in Amsterdam that let him board an aircraft with a bomb in his drawers?

An old meme is being given new impetus by the anti-gunners. They've been trying to ban those on the anti-terror watch list from purchasing firearms. This suits them fine since there are millions on the list, some justly, others not, and no appeals process for the nots. Now they claim that the Fort Hood shooter was on said watch list and if the ban was in place he wouldn't have been able to get the guns to carry out his act of terror. As Uncle notes, its not true.

It's only another way for our enemies to push their agenda, and they try with the usual lies and misinformation. That's nothing new.

President Obama has donated $400,000 of our tax money to a charity run by the Gadhafi Family. The purpose of the charity is to project a new and positive image of Libya. There is sooo much wrong here. With the current state of our nation's finances why are we giving money to the Gadhafis. They control the oil revenues for Libya for Christ's sake. They got money to spare let 'em spend their own. Then there are the isues of their ties to terrorists. Wait, he's reformed. Sorry don't buy it. That little bit where they fignagles the release of Pan Am Flight 103 bomber Abdel Baset Megrahi kinda of makes me doubt his new leaf. So this is the new and positive image the Gadhafi charitites are trying to project?

Lockerbie Murderer Released

A man involved in the mass murder of 270 people was released from prison today on "compassionate grounds". This would be Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi the only person convicted in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 exploded over Lockerbie, Scotland. He served eight years. He has prostate cancer and so has been sent home to Libya to die and be greeted as a hero. In Scotland the price of 270 lives is eight years. Compassion, in this case, should have been a needle in his arm and a ride home in a box.
