Doesn't seem to be about winning does it.
Orders for U.S. Forces in Syria: 'Don't Get Shot'
I don't blame the Generals as much as I do the White House.

On having "armed" Armed Forces...
Sarcasm aside, if you can't trust an officer or NCO with a sidearm, as every Barney Fife cop in America is trusted, then either we need better recruiting standards, or you need therapy. I'm betting on the latter. - Michael Z. Williamson

That was a hell of a ride, and one of the best action films I've seen in quite a while.

Veterans Day

The photograph was in my Mom's photo album. She doesn't remember who they were other than friends of my father, and Dad is gone. It was taken at Camp Rucker Alabama around 1942 or 1943. Mom had gone down to visit before Dad went overseas. It's an appropriate photo for today. Thank you Veterans for your service. The cartoon is by John Cox.

I spent most of the day...
...working a football game the outcome of which I really couldn’t have cared less about. The pluses were I got to see the Golden Knights do their thing and a C-130 do a fly over and I got paid. Neat.

It looks like the Air Force isn't waiting on NASA and what comes after the soon to be ended shuttle program.
