That's screwed up.

A Border Patrol Agent, in a private conversation with a colleague, voiced his opinion that legalizing and regulating drugs would help stop cartel violence along our southern border, and was fired as a result. His comments were...
contrary to the core characteristics of Border Patrol Agents, which are patriotism, dedication, and espirit [sic] de corps.
I don't get to speak out publicly against the stated policies of my employer and expect to keep my job, but this was said in a private conversation. That, and trusting the people he worked with, shouldn't have cost him his job.
