Theft Under Color of Law

In Vermont two kids planned a school shooting spree but where found out before they could carry it out. One of the kids had planned to steal a relative's firearms to carry out the spree. The local police used Vermont's Red Flag law to seize the relative's guns when the kids had been identified and were in custody. The relative wasn't a co-conspirator. His guns were not a threat to anyone. The kids were in custody. Is this the abuse gun owners can come to expect from police and anti-gun bigots in the future? Yeah, I know. Dumb question. Mikey Bloomberg's The Trace considers this a sucess so the question answers itself. This is theft under color of law.

A state judge blocked Mississippi's open-carry gun law from taking effect next week, writing in a Friday ruling that the law was vague and that an injunction was needed to prevent irreparable harm.

If his reasoning seems kinda vague Jody Owens, an attorney for the Southern Poverty Law Center, cleared it up.

"The plaintiffs are trying to stop mayhem. We're looking at a wild, wild West scenario," Owens said.

BLOOMBERG SUGGESTS POLICE STRIKE IN DEMAND FOR GUN CONTROL

I don‘t understand why the police officers across this country don’t stand up collectively and say we’re gonna go on strike, we’re not gonna protect you unless you, the public, through your legislature, do what’s required to keep us safe.

Fortunately, I think most police officers have a greater sense of duty than you do Mayor Mikey. Also, and this is not intended as a knock on the police, but I don't see where they protect me from much at all. In most cases the police arrive after the fact, determine what happened, and begin the process of assigning blame. Not always but most of the time. I suspect I'm not alone in that opinion.

Did I just hear what I thought I did? I was just listening to Bob Beckel, the token liberal, on The Five on Fox News. They were discussing Fast and Furious. He says it doesn't matter that the ATF walked guns over the border, and the guns were used to kill Mexicans because the guys that killed them would have gotten the guns so other way.

Does he even realize this is the argument the Gun control movement has been calling bullshit on for decades when we make it. Bad guys are going to get the guns whether we have regulation or not. Regulation and gun control laws only keep guns from the law abiding.
