So good luck in 2016, Republicans. You had this one in the bag, high unemployment, an annual deficit of a trillion dollars, Fast’n'Furious, Benghazi, bailouts, Obamacare. All you had to do was find a conservative that could rally the people to vote and it would have been a cakewalk. I suspect you don’t believe that, and that you will try to go even more liberal in an effort to gather votes that you cannot get, throwing away the core voters that want conservative, responsible government. Nature abhors a vacuum and a real third party will fill your place in American politics. Does anyone remember the Whig party? - as826m

The word is three million Republicans couldn't hold their nose and vote for Romney. I don't know whether to be pissed at them for holding to their principles or myself for not. The truth is I can't say I won't once again vote for the lesser of evils in 2016.

...at the North Durham Regional Library. I spend a lot of time at the library and during early voting the lines have typically been out the door. Around the corner and down the full length of the building was new to me.

Three Questions Romney Needs to Answer.

1. Will Mitt Romney unseal the Fast and Furious documents that President Obama shielded from the public and Congress? 
2. Will Mitt Romney fully investigate the murder of US Marine & Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, including the BATFE accomplices to his murder who walked those guns into the hands of known criminals? 
3. Will Mitt Romney fully investigate and prosecute all federal crimes committed as part of the fast and furious scandal including any government officials who broke the law?

Inquiring minds want to know. Preferably, before we cast our votes.

Gotta have priorities

My politics are right leaning Libertarian. At 16, my son is hard right conservative. He sent me these links this morning. They were Mitt Romney's and Barak Obama's first tweets of today.

The draft language of the Democrats' 2012 platform — set for a final vote this week in Charlotte, N.C. — argues that current safeguards protecting the public against gun violence are insufficient and urges "an honest and open conversation about firearms."

The document also calls for "reasonable regulation" governing guns, including laws banning assault weapons and requiring all gun sellers — not just licensed dealers — to perform background checks on potential buyers.

That would require that gun control advocates be honest and open. You aren't, so no.
