"Preacher" Producers Talk Source Changes

I know very little original material that survives contact with Hollywood. There's this need to make it "better", but mostly they mess it up. Usually, that doesn't bother me, because I have no real investment in the original source material. If the producers can manage to produce product that captures the spirit of the original I'm happy. They screwed up Fantastic Four and I didn't care. Paul Verhoeven fucked up Starship Troopers and I'm still pissed off. Preacher had the potential to be excellent television, and then Seth Rogan got hold of it. I'll wait and watch the pilot but my hopes are dim and I'm not sure I care any more.
