NYPD’s Firearms Training Woefully Inadequate, Former Trainers Say

My employer has hired a few refugees from the NYPD. They tend to shoot no better or worse than locals. The problem is that law enforcement firearms training tends to focus on qualification not actual training. Most departments for reasons of expense spend exactly how much time the State requires and little more. I suspect the NYPD is nobetter or worse than other police departments in this regard.
