That ends with Avengers: Endgame. I no longer fell any obligation toward the films. I'll attend on a case by case basis. Why? I, who have been buying and reading comics since grade school, am no longer the audience they want. You know: old , white, male, with money to spend. This new business plan has caused a dramatic drop in sales. I've gone from buying thirty plus comics a month to three. None of them are Marvel. I guess that's their plan for their films as well, but catering to the SJWs may or may not have that effect. While people who are fans of Marvel Comics are also filmgoers. People who are fans of Marvel films aren't necessarily fans of the comics. We'll see.
SWATting is when someone makes a report to the police of a horrific crime in the hope that when the police respond they will kill the accused. It's basically murder by cop. Here's the a recent example where a death occurred as a result.
Comicsgate, in my opinion, is a conservative movement of comicbook fans that prefer comics as entertainment rather than political indoctrination. They prefer a customer centered product where, if there are politics in them, the politics service the story not the other way around, AND they tend to be vocal about it. The SJW sided comic community responded as SJWs always do with mostly hate filled invective and attempts to destroy the lives and careers of their opponents. They've had some success with that, but it appears that's not enough now.

Richard Meyer has written at least one graphic novel about the Korean War, but he is known for his YouTube Channel Diversity and Comics. Known, as in, hated by the SJW crowd in comics. He is the SJW's boogyman in #comicsgate. The few videos I've looked at has him reviewing comics and chronicling the antics of the SJW crowd. Meyer crowdfunded a comic through Indiegogo to the tune of about $247,000 dollars and arranged for it to be published by Antarctic Press. SJW comic book shops then colluded to refuse to carry the book and certain comic book professionals began to put pressure on Antarctic Press to drop the book. The publisher dropped the book and now they are pushing for Indiegogo to drop him. My aren't SJWs hateful little shits. God forbid somebody they don't like get into their club. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE BOOK, DON'T BUT IT!. Oh no, that's not good enough for these Leftist pricks and prickettes. If they don't like it or it's creators nobody else is allowed to buy it either.
This kind of shit why I've mostly stopped buying comics.
