I haven't read anything by Dave Freer I haven't liked. This came close to it. Supposed to be funny but barely by my reckoning. I bought all the Bolg titles at once so maybe this was the outlyer. We'll see.

No...Seriously?
Surprise: Obama vetting GOP Gov. Brian Sandoval for Scalia’s Supreme Court seatNaw, can't be. The Prez has got to be f**king with us, or he has the same kinda s**t on this guy as he has on Roberts. I'd be fine with this guy based on this if he would answer two questions in regard to gun rights and the Constitution.
Strict Scrutiny and Originalism?
That's my red line for an Obama nominee.

It's OK. At 38 pages there really isn't a whole lot of time for much to happen. If you are not already familiar with the characters it's just short of huh?. Having said that, if you are a fan of either of the leads, it is worth the 99 cents. If not, take a pass.
You know what would be funny?
The Southern Poverty Law Center Strikes AgainI don't like Trump and will vote 3rd Party before he gets my vote, but that lawsuit would be money well spent and funny as hell.

A short story that really needed to be longer. Well written but not much happens. I will probably buy another by Ms. Montgomery but this one was just kinda eh.
Gatefather by Orson Scott Card
I liked the first two books in this trilogy quite a bit. This was n't up to the others. It wrapped up the trilogy but it was slow and well, boring. maybe my expectations were too high.

Interesting Times
Antonin Scalia, conservative US Supreme Court justice, diesObama has said he'll nominate a replacement. McConnell has said any nomination is dead in the water until after the election and Obama is history. The question is whether McConnell and the Senate Republicans will blink. History says yes. One thing is sure. An Obama appointment is the death of the Second Amendment. Call your Senators and stiffen their spines.
Yeah, but the Establishment Republicans would join with the Deomcrats to block the nomination.
If Donald Trump wants to end this race tonight, he'll vow that his first act as president will be appointing Ted Cruz to the Supreme Court. - Sean Davis

The latest in the Vorkosigan Saga. Some Miles but this is about his mother Cordelia and her getting on with her life after the death of her husband. It's comforting to know these characters you've followed for so long find happiness after the loss of a loved one. It's Bujold therefore it's good. Highly recommended.

They're Lying
‘This was all planned’: Former IG says Hillary, State Dept. are lying...and the fix is in.
Still, “It will never get to an indictment,” Krongard said. For one, he says, any criminal referral to the Justice Department from the FBI “will have to go through four loyal Democrat women” — Assistant Attorney General Leslie Caldwell, who heads the department’s criminal division; Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates; Attorney General Loretta Lynch; and top White House adviser Valerie Jarrett.
Even if they accept the referral, he says, the case quickly and quietly will be plea-bargained down to misdemeanors punishable by fines in a deal similar to the one Clinton’s lawyer, David Kendall, secured for Gen. David Petraeus. In other words, a big slap on the wrist.

For some reason I missed this when it was released in 2014. The third and last of F. Paul Wilson's Repairman Jack's early years trilogy and probably the last for some time. If that is so, this is a fine end to the series. It's a straight thriller. The supernatural doesn't enter into it. We see how Jack developed into the man he is. He also meets James Bond. Wilson doesn't call him that but that's who he is. It is a run ride, and it is my hope that Wilson will climb back on and give us another sometime soon.
