I just bought a stripped AR lower today that I ordered over the internet from Palmetto State Armory for a really good price. They couldn't ship it to my address. They shipped to a nearby gun shop I designated. I had to drive to the store, present my identification and undergo and pass a NICS background check before I could pay the transfer fee and take it home. That experience proves the lie to every point made by our former President except the last. Buying a machine gun is expensive with a level of regulation designed to place them outside the reach of most gun owners. What our former President is actually talking about are semi-automatic rifles like the AR-15. They are not machine guns and he knows it. He calls them that to push an agenda...gun control.

The Department of Justice just updated its decades-old study asking criminals where they got the guns they used in committing the crime for which they were currently incarcerated. After asking 287,000 prisoners in 2016 where they got the gun they used, 90 percent of them “did not obtain it from a retail source” and less than one percent obtained it from a gun show.

Dr. John Bates, the former principal scientist at the National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, N.C., told the Daily Mail NOAA’s 2015 study was meant “to discredit the notion of a global warming hiatus and rush to time the publication of the paper to influence national and international deliberations on climate policy.”

Bates said NOAA scientists made a “blatant attempt to intensify the impact” of global warming to eliminate the “pause” in temperature rise since 1998. The Daily Mail claims Bates showed it “irrefutable” evidence NOAA’s study relied on “unverified” data.

Bates’ objections to the paper were ignored by his superiors, who let scientists make “decisions and scientific choices that maximised warming and minimised documentation” in advance of a major United Nations climate summit in Paris, France.
