TSA: Thought Police?

Get the fuck outta here! A comic book writer gets flagged for extra screening at an airport checkpoint and they find a script for an issue of Unthinkable. This comic is about a government think tank tasked with developing 9/11 scenarios which then began to come to past.
The TSA agents then proceeded to interrogate me, having a hard time understanding that a comic book could be about anything other than superheroes, let alone that anyone actually wrote scripts for comics.
I can see the TSA searching your bags for weapons, chemicals or other nasty stuff that might effect whether Flight what the fuck gets safely from point a to b, but reading peoples private papers? Please explain to me what this has to do with the security of the flight. Don't we have something called the fourth amendment? Has the TSA now taken on the role of Thought Police?
