We gave the GOP the House, Senate, and White House. Our requests were few. One of those was not negotiable. We wanted a repeal of Obamacare. REPEAL. 2018 is gonna be interesting and not in a good way.

A liberal friend of mind has always claimed that Obamacare was at its core a Republican plan designed as a counter to Hillarycare in the 80's just in case. I always called bullshit on him. NOW I'm not so sure. The Establishment Republican sure do seem to like them some Big Government programs, don't they?

Which is how I found myself applauding Mike Kreidler and seething at a President I helped elect. Out here in the Land of the Brand of You, we don’t want cheap twelve-month extensions. We’re willing to suck it up and pay our fair share for health insurance. We want the exchanges to work. We’re not demanding a last-minute reprieve that threatens the stability of the entire system. What we’re asking for is clarity and competence.

Apparently, the Prez can change Obamacare on a whim for his own political convenience with a wave of his wand. If he gets away with it here what's to keep him from doing the same with other legislation?

He is also essentially ordering insurance companies to ignore the law. With Obama's track record regarding truthfulness and his "if you like your policy you can keep your policy" lies, I'm not sure I'd trust him down the road not to sic Eric Holder on those evil insurance companies for violating "the law'.

Mr. President, your bill requires everyone to buy a one size fits all insurance policy so those with policies that don't fit the one size lose them. You and your Democrats decided what fits all. Insurance companies were in it as far as getting a captive customer base but you, Mr. President, decided what form said one size policy would take. Not even your loyal media lackeys are buying this one.

So the blame is yours. Accept it.
