I was thinking about G. Gordon Liddy the other day
Question answered. I used to listen to his talk show. He was a character and entertaining.

Can Manchin be Bought?
The better question is can Biden meet his price? He's a Democrat. That answers the first question.
Is Joe Biden Trying to Buy Joe Manchin's Loyalty? Here is my question for Biden. Can you trust anyone whose loyalty you have to buy?

I'm not sure what is going on here...
...but I've had No Lawyers, Only Guns and Money on the side bar of my blog for years. Recently, the link started taking me to https:followit/onlygunsandmoney.com. I deleted the link and replaced it with the correct link only to have it immediately replaced with the followit link. I hve no idea what the fuck is going on. I can Google John's blog and that link works fine. I can link it in a post and it works fine. Does anyone else using Blogger have that problem? Any ideas?

I've gotten away from listing the books I've read. Not really sure why, but it is what it is. Sometimes there is a special book. I just finished Steven Pressfield's A Man at Arms. A former Legionary is hired to intercept a letter sent from Jerusalem and intended for Corinthe. It's no surprise who wrote the letter or for whom it is intended. You might even be able to guess the outcome, but it is the journey that is so damn good. So, read it and enjoy. Highly recommended.

A Churchill Quote
Indeed Parliamentary democracy has flourished under party government. That is to say, it has flourished so long as there is full freedom of speech, free elections and free institutions.I originally saw a variation of this quote on a Piers Morgan tweet referencing his telling everyone he thought Megan Markle was a twit. That's not what he said exactly but it conveys the same intent. Markle is your typical Hollywood narcisist. I disagree with Piers Morgan on many things but not that.So we must beware of a tyranny of opinion which tries to make only one side of a question the one which may be heard. Everyone is in favour of free speech. Hardly a day passes without its being extolled, but some people’s idea of it is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone says anything back, that is an outrage.
- Sir Winston Churchill

J. Neil Schulman
I was going through my blogroll today and deleting those that hadn't been updated. Usually the website is still there with the last entry a year or so ago. The J. Neil Schulman link was dead. I figured he had simply moved it and went to Google to search his new site out. I discovered he passed away in August of 2019. Damn. He wrote several books and among them were two of my favorites. The Rainbow Cadenza and Alongside Night. He wrote several novels that were okay. These were damn good. They were so good I picked up every used copy I could find so I could give them away to anyone who showed interest. I was disapointed in his last novel and hoped I would like his next more. Now there won't be one. Again, damn. He was also an avid gun rights advocate, libertarian, and independent filmmaker.

Her Advice is Gonna Get Somebody Killed
If you don't have the means to defend yourself or the victim, call the cops and let them handle it. If you intervene without said means, you take your chances. By "means" I mean a weapon that gives you an advantage of the robber. This is problematic in New York City where it's illegal for most people even have a legal gun much less carry one.

Sure she is a Democrat, and I'm sure we disagree on more than we agree, but she has style.
