Today's Republicans, imbued with a sense that Washington's priorities have become muddled, contend that most commemorations are a waste of floor time needed for more pressing matters.
And I contend that anything that prevents you fuckwits [that’s a bipartisan fuckwits by the by] from attending to those pressing matters is all and good for the rest of us. A day where Congress accomplishes absolutely nothing is a damn good day and saves us from the intended and unintended consequences of their actions.
