Showing Respect

We all have our pet peeves. This is one of mine. When you are at a sporting event, say a college basketball game in Durham NC, and they play the National Anthem prior to the game, you should stand and pay your respects to the colors. Right? If you’re in uniform and wearing head gear stand at attention and salute. If no head gear stand at attention and the right hand covers the heart. Everyone else should stand at attention and cover the heart with the right hand. Right? What you don’t do is stand there with your thumb up your butt or when the anthem gets to the word “Oh” form a circle over your head with your arms and yell “Oh”. It’s disrespectful you ignorant, college –aged, self-absorbed gits. Now I’ve had my say. That is all.
