The boy is not expected to face charges. A sheriff's deputy says he's "a good kid" who was trying to help people in need. What, Mister Deputy, would you charge him with? What crime did he commit? Larceny? Wouldn't the drug dealer have to file that complaint? Maybe failing to turn found drug money over to the Sheriff's Department so y'all can add it to your budget through civil forfeiture? That sounds about right. Yeah, go arrest him.

What the ...
Every once in a while, and way too often lately, you read a story that raises the question what the fuck? A learning disabled 16 year old in Rosemount Minnesota found a bag of $18,000 in a ditch on the side of the road and took it. He gave $11.000 of it away to fellow students and a teacher's aid. The aid found the money tucked in her bag and reported it to police who investigated and collected the money from the students. The 16 year old showed the police where he found the money and they found marijuana and scales. It turns out it was abandoned drug money. Should the kid have kept the money? No, but this is the bit that gets a big WTF.
