Punisher: War Zone

I watched Punisher: War Zone. If you like the comics books, lots of gun play, gore, and don't care much for character development and plot, you'll like it. Ray Stevenson makes a much better Punisher than Thomas Jane. There's some elements of the Garth Ennis take on the character but there's a lot of the late 80's early 90's Punisher as well. Lots of little things got my goat. He's described as former Special Forces but they show a picture of him in a Marine Dress Uniform. In the original comics this was explained and both were true, but this is just a screwup. Then Castle tells Julie Benz to squeeze not pull the trigger. And the one that pissed me off: Microchip holding a bag of shooting irons tells the Punisher, "It's gun show season in Virginia. No background checks." Straight from the Brady Bunch talking points. Some Hollywood twit trying to inject a little political commentary. Frank Castle would know better.
