Bill O’Reilly could have told them the...

...sky was blue and they would have walked off the set. Debate? Polite discourse? No surprise here.

H/T to Firehand.

Creative Responses to Jihadi stupidity [but I repeat myself]

Everybody Draw Mohammad Day [May 20, 2010] is a response to an American Jihadist’s not so veiled threat to the creators of South Park for episode that depicted Mohammad in a bear suit.

Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi, an Iranian Cleric, said that earthquakes were caused by women dressing immodestly. Jennifer McCreight, a student in Indiana, suggested that on a specific date women wear the most revealing top they have to test the theory. It’s called Boobquake and the date is today. Hear, hear for the scientific method.

Sometimes the best response to idiots is humor.

Some people have way too much time on their hands

I like hot dogs. They're a staple, along with mac and cheese [the kind with powdered cheese] in my household when money's tight and actually when it's not. The Cancer Project has filed a class action suit against several makers of hot dogs. The suit attempts to force the companies to put warning labels on their product.

The Cancer Project is for all intents and purposes an offshoot of PETA.
The Cancer Project is led by Neal Barnard, a past president of The PETA Foundation. More than two-thirds of the Cancer Project's budget comes directly from the wealthy founder of the Animal Rights Foundation of Florida. The Cancer Project's parent organization, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, has also received more than $1.3 million from PETA.
And that should tell you all you need to know about the wingnuts at the Cancer Project.

If hot dogs cause cancer, I'll take my chances.

Moose hunting

This Letterman/Palin thing falls easily under the "get a fricking life" category but I saw this bit...
David Letterman joked Thursday that things are now fine now between him and Sarah Palin because the Alaska governor called and offered to take him hunting.
...on Fox and thought that if it were true, David, you'd be the moose.
