More zero tolerance idiocy

In New Jersey, a seventh grader is twirling a pencil in his hand when another student told the teacher he was making gun motions. The school administrator sent him home until he underwent a psychological evaluation to prove he was no threat to other students. Ya know, just to be sure. Just another example of the stupidity of zero tolerance policies in our public schools. It s what they do instead of think.

Sometimes you just have to shrug...

N.C. school selling test scores to raise funds

Last years chocolate sale didn't pull in the needed funds so this year they're selling twenty extra points to the students on two tests of their choice. According to the principal that's OK because it won't have a major impact on the students final grades.
