My question to the people who are willfully ignorant to the situation in the Summer of 1945; Did the United States use those bombs to START a war?
There's a big difference. Ask any child whose parents say, "I don't care who started it" of there's a difference.

The second thing is it seems as though the world has been vaccinated* against the use of Atomic weapons in war ever since. We'll see how that works with the apocalypse-welcoming religious in Tehran and elsewhere, but 76 years with such a game-changing weapon staying in the arsenal and never coming out to the battlefield is some kind of record in the tens-of-thousands-of-years history of human beings.

* In this second year of the plague years who can fault me for thinking in terms of the current contretemps?
