Why is it so hard for liberals to put responsibility...

...where it belongs? For a firearm to discharge requires someone to place their finger on the trigger and pull. No pull, no bang. No bang, nobody or thing gets killed, injured, or damaged. That act of will made in the pulling of the trigger is key. You can't accidentally pull a trigger. A person can decide that fraction of a second after the action has been taken that he/she didn't intend the aftermath of said action but that doesn't make it an accident. The word you're looking for is "negligently". The shooters in one moment, made a bad decision. As noted by ASM826, when the shooter was a child, or the functional equivalent, the negligence was in the gun owner leaving the weapon improperly secured where said child could get at it. Again, Negligence not accident and I, a responsible gun owner, will not allow my rights to be held hostage by the actions of the negligent. So, the Huff Po can go piss up a rope.

Oh yeah, I might also point out the notable absence from the Huff Po's list of "accidental" shootings over a two-year period where any involving the police. Ya know, the only ones who, according to liberals, are responsible enough to handle firearms. I'm sure the absence was "accidental".
