Justice

A man used his pistol to scare off a burglar then called the police to report same. What do they do? Arrest him for having an unlicensed handgun. He faces three years in jail if convicted. Business as usual in that bastion of freedom called New York City.

I'll tell you what, I have no sympathy.

The guy is a millionaire, I bet $2 he voted for Bloomberg.

I bet another dollar he voted for Bloomberg after Bloomberg decided that Teh Peepul didn't have the right to vote for term limits.

NYers have the gov't they want, I saw, let them enjoy it.

Just point and laugh.

Stupid leftist millionaire, but I repeat myself.
If he felt the need to call the police, leave out the incriminating detail. His mere presence and shouting caused the perp to flee. Take a page from the Media report on the Pearl Mississippi school shooting. The Assistant Vice Principal persuaded the shooter to surrender by sheer force of will and the Vulcan Mind Meld.
Blabbermouth.
but as Veeshir says, he likely voted for the billionaire Bloomberg, but in any event voted for the government he got, and boy, he got it good and hard. The fact that it was more than he can enjoy or expected based on his financial situation is irrelevant.
Don't vote for something and be surprised when that something occurs.

Agreed. His arrogance was most likely his downfall, but I'd argue the laws that he violated are unconstitutional whether I like his or not and they screw good people as well as dicks.
