Gunslinger Girl
Borepatch posted this. The animation is from the anime Gunslinger Girl. Gunslinger Girl is an anime of the girls and guns genre and excellent as much for the music as the story and animation. I recommend it highly. Here is the title sequence with the Delgados "The Light Before We Land" and a sample of the girls and guns with the original soundtrack.

While it is accurate to say Gunslinger Girl is of girls and guns genre, it really does not do it justice. There is action to be sure but primarily I think of them as emotionally driven, interconnected short stories.
