Taken

Taken was a great. Liam Nesson can play one relentless, cold-hearted son-of-a-bitch. His daughter gets kidnapped by "human traffickers" out of Paris and he gets her back. He doesn't take a gun with him. He doesn't need to. He takes them off the bodies (Albanians, Frenchmen, Arabs) left along the way, and he gets her back. Sorry that's not a spoiler with this type of movie. The end is a forgone conclusion five seconds into the film. With this film as with so many others it not were you end up but how you get there. This is a damn good action flick. There's plenty of gun play, car chases, and hand to hand. The bad guys are bad guys. There is no attempt to humanize or understand them. They're scum. Political correctness? Nowhere to be seen. It was a hell of a ride and so much better than listening to "Hope and Change."
