NC Gun Roster Being Sold As Preventing Faulty Weapons

The California gun roster is nothing but pure gun control. It bans guns based on features that have no effect on the safety of the weapon unless you consider a functional firearm unsafe in and of itself. The sponsors of the North Carolina bill that seeks to adopt California's roster wholesale are trying to sell it as a measure to test firearms to make sure they are safe. It's not about safety, it's about incremental gun control. It's called being disingenuous. It's called lying, but that's okay as long as you are a Democrat pushing an agenda.

With the GOP super majority in the North Carolina House that isn't likely to change anytime soon, it ain't gonna happen. We may not get Constitutional Carry or a repeal of the Jim Crow pistol purchase permit, but this won't float. Always wise though to contact your representatives and remind them of the consequences of stupidity.

Gun Registration's End Game

A California farmer tried to comply with California's firearms registration requirements and ended up charged with 12 felony counts. This is the intended end game for the laws. They criminalize legal activity and the law abiding are suddenly felons. If you are a gun owner in California/New Jersey/or New York with best thing to do is vote with your feet and take you guns elsewhere. At the least, follow Sebastian's advise and consult with your attorney before even considering complying with the law.

I'd call it Urban Fantasy. Good characters, plot, and world building. There were points where the pace slowed but they're few. Highly recommended.
