What is the NRA thinking?

Erick Erickson, over at Redstate, reported that the NRA has ordered it’s Board of Directors not to comment on the Elena Kagan nomination or testify at her hearings either as representatives of the NRA or in their private capacity. I know Kagan will most likely be confirmed but considering her contempt for the Second Amendment why make it easy. At some point they need to stand up and use a bit of that precious political capital. Grade the damn Senators on how they vote and get on with it. Who knows? Maybe with active opposition by the NRA we could kill the nomination.

Actually, I’m curious to hear the NRA’s logic on this one. Don't know that I'd buy it but I am curious.

WHOA, this is qid pro quo if there ever was ... Anti-American Kagan should be Borked.

I guess the NRA lost it's hobby horse with the SC cases and is sulking. But doesn't it say a lot who they were and what they were doing all along?

sigh ... another one bites the dust.
