Ignoring the law

According to a study carried out in 2007 at least 100,000 Chicago residents have chosen to break the law and obtained a firearm to defend themselves. I don’t know the methodology used for the study or how accurate the estimate. With Chicago's population the number strikes me as low, but I’d call even a 100,000 people thumbing their noses at Mayor Daley a damn good start.
