Twenty Minutes

CNN is reporting it took first responders twenty minutes to arrive at Sandy Hook. How the hell could it possibly take twenty fricking minutes for the first police officers to arrive on the scene? Of course, this is CNN so there is a damn good chance they're reporting to the level of accuracy we've come to expect from them: piss poor.

I listened to the audio of the Pima County Sheriff's Dept radio call after the Tucson shootings. If my calculations are correct (based on what I believe to be a verbal timestamp from a responding unit approximately 7 minutes into the audio), the initial radio call didn't go out until 6 minutes after the shooting, and the first unit arrived on scene 2.5 minutes after that.
