It's Walter Simonson's birthday.

Walter Simonson has written and drawn among other titles runs of Fantastic Four and Thor. He collaborated with Archie Goodwin to produce the graphic novel adaptation of Ridley Scott's Alien and my favorite, Manhunter. Manhunter was the story of an adventurer killed in Africa then revived and cloned by a secret conspiracy to assist them in there attempt to control the world. Needless to say the Manhunter instead fights against them. He used martial arts, an assortment of bladed weapons, and a broom-handled Mauser. I still pull my copy out occasionally and read it. It's good stuff.
