... is discussing firearms with two of his officers when he "accidentally" shoots one of them. The matter is under investigation by the local Sheriff's Department. The Sheriff said it may have been accidental or a malfunction of the weapon. None of which would have been an issue if the Chief had obeyed the first three of the four rules, and I'd put money on negligent rather than accidental.
