Senate Bill 34 has been introduced in the North Carolina Senate. It's the Castle Doctrine and would protect those using deadly force to protect their homes from civil and criminal liability. It's not the first attempt in North Carolina. Last year it passed the Senate but was held up in committee by an anti-gun representative in the House. Now that the Republicans hold majorities in the House and Senate, I think we may get a different outcome but don't get cocky. Call your representatives and let them know where you stand on this.
