Edge of Darkness

When Edge of Darkness came out most of the reviews I read were mixed. I watched it tonight. The basic plot is Mel Gibson is a Boston Police Detective whose daughter is murdered on his doorstep. When he discovers that she and not he was the target he pursues the evildoers to the usual Hollywood conclusion. The detective is one relentless son of a bitch and Gibson plays relentless to a tee.
