I'll admit I'm trolling a bit. Guns in Japan versus guns in the United States are apples and oranges.Japan had a long history of weapons control among civilians back to the 1600s before they instituted their current gun control laws in 1958. The populations acceptance of it is, I think, cultural. The exact opposite of here in the United States, where the opposite holds true. Here gun ownership is cultural, political, and an enumerated /natural right. In the end, the point is that a bad guy who wants to do harm will find a way regardless of whatever gun controls there are.
