Zoning Board bars church from meeting in private homes.
I'm not particularly religious. I don't attend regularly and am not a member of any congregation. The Gilbert, Arizona Zoning Board seems to have a problem with a church having meetings in private homes. It apparently against the rules. Much of my childhood was spent not only in the main church building but in the home of members for "prayer meetings". It may be the church in question is new and does not have a church building. Makes no difference. The local government needs to butt out. Where I worship, as long as it's not public property and the property owners have no problem with it, is my business not government's. I hope the Oasis of Truth church takes the bureaucrats to the cleaners.
