Benelli MR1 Self-Defense Rifle
A friend of mine at work mentioned that Benelli had a new rifle, the MR1, in 5.56 using standard AR magazines. I've always liked their shotguns and, at least in appearence, it's not your standard AR knock off but at $1300 it's a bit out of my range. Looks nice though.

Hmmm...
Charging handle's on the wrong side.
Can't access the mag release without moving hand from firing position.
Not really designed for simple field-stripping and maintenance.
It does look different, and since most folks buy these types of rifles for their looks and to impress folks with their gear, it will sell. It's not an AR or AK, so that gives it a +5 "CDI" factor. ;)
Being a lefty the charging handle is just right for me but I agree with the rest. I'm happy with my pieced together AR.
