The Grassley-Cruz Bill

Tightens up some NICS stuff that our side generally is in favor of. It promotes actual enforcement of existing laws, like felons that lie on a 4473 under penalty of perjury, &c. Allows interstate firearms sales, which is good for me, but bad for my gun store as I'd buy stuff in other states, like Hatfields in Virginia.

Sounds good but the key is the actual language. If it is overly broad it will be a problem.

This is the third book in the Moties series. It is written by Pournelle's daughter. It picks up the thread from early The Gripping Hand about New Utah. Interesting, but not really up to the other two. Still, I liked it and look forward to more novels by this Pournelle.

This page is from Dell's TALES of the GREEN BERET issue #4. Dell published five issues. The art is by Sam Glanzman. A newspaper strips of the same name was produced by Robin Moore and Joe Kubert. For a short while, before the strip ended, John Celardo took over the art chores. I've always like Glanzman's work. I didn't actually expect to win this piece. Goes to show one should be careful with the eBay phone app. I'm damn glad the bidding topped out where it did, because my accidental bid was much higher. No more last second bids. Oh, well.

I'll just increase my donations to the NRA instead of doing business with those that boycott them. My choice. My money. These guys need to understand that virtue signalling comes with a cost.

Advice from a Canadian...

If I had one recommendation for Americans, it would be this: if the Second Amendment falls - then you let those liberal fart suckers know that it ALL falls. Their right to free speech goes out the window with your right to keep and bear arms. That in turn should be a declaration of war against those who support the Constitution, and those that won't. Because once you let one group of miscreants start chipping away at it - they will ALL want to re-write it in their favour.
