At least 50 Palestinians were injured in an accidental explosion that wrecked three houses in the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah, medics, security officials and eyewitnesses said. The number of dead is unknown after Hamas imposed a gag order on the incident.

According to anonymous reports on social media, at least 15 people were killed in the blast, most of them members of Hamas.
