The Golden Gate by Robert Buettner

I've read two of Buettner's other novels and liked them. I didn't know what to expect from this one and was pleasantly surprised. It was a nice mystery with science-fiction elements that really didn't come to light until the final chapters and turned my guesses as to where it was going upside down. More please.

I haven't read that, but we read a lot of the same stuff.

Have you read anything by BV Larson?
His Star Force series that begins with Swarm is very good. It's 11 or so books and they're pretty much all very good.

I've taken to looking at the Baen monthly bundles. $18 dollars for about seven books. some are old releases but there are usually enough new to make it worth it. No I haven't read any by Larsen but I'm always looking for new authors. I've started reading Jonathan Maberry. Deadlands Ghostwalker was good. It was sorta a steampunk western alternative history. He also writes the Joe Ledger novels. Try him out.

I'll check him out.

I like the Baen deal, I'll have to look at it.

Larson has probably 5 or 6 series going, they're mostly pretty good but the Star Force one is really good.
