The Arroyo

The Arroyo was produced through Bill Whittle's Declaration Entertainment and that was reason enough for me to give it a try. The story has the feel of an old Western. A rancher gets fed up with coyotes and cartel members using cutting across his land on their way north. He and a friend begin to monkey-wench the bad guys operation and draw the bad guys ire. His friend is murdered and then all hell breaks loose. I don't think any of the actors in this film have ever been in a movie before but they all do a credible job. The plot, direction, and cinematography are straightforward with no bells or whistles. The budget was low but the director gets the most out what he has. I'd like to see what he could do with a bigger budget. In the Hollywood version of this film the rancher would be the bad guy, but then this film ain't Hollywood. Watch it.
