NC: Resident shoots intruder

Four men dressed in dark clothing forced their way into an apartment Tuesday night in Winston Salem. One had a knife. The resident had a gun. One intruder is in a local hospital undergoing treatment for gunshot wounds. The others got the hell out. The resident fired several shots and was treated for knife wounds and a self-inflicted gunshot to the hand. Why do I get the feeling this was a point and pull the trigger until the slide locks back situation. There are obvious comments about knives and gunfights as well as rule #2. Under the circumstances he's alive and the bad guys didn't get what they wanted. One got what he didn't want. That's a win...sorta.
