Way Up North
So, three armed invaders break into a home where they encounter two residents. In the resulting struggle one of the residents get s gun away from one of the home invaders and opens fire. The home invaders flee and one is wounded. The responding police then arrest the resident who defended himself for attempted murder and associated firearms charges. Maybe that's because he tried to nail 'em on the fly as they fled. Maybe it just a f****d up view of what is and isn't self-defense. Maybe it's just Canada. What I do know is I'm glad I'm down here south of their border were if three armed gits broke into my house I'd be allowed to defend myself.

When the bodyguards that follow...
...these gun control proponents around start carrying smart guns maybe, just maybe, I'll go for the rest of us being saddled with 'em. Ummm, frack that. I lied. They aren't reliable and won't be in the foreseeable future. Police and civilian gun owners need a firearm that works when it needs to. The gun control nut jobs can put their lives at risk if they choose. Me, I'll keep what I have.

Devil's Due by Taylor Anderson
This is the latest in Anderson's Destroyermen series. There hasn't been a bad or midlin' one yet. Capt. Reddy and his companions continue the war against the Grik, Kurokawa, and the Dominion. Good stuff. Always highly recommended.

Happy Ending
In Texas, two armed intruders enter a sixty year old lady's house, and one gets shot. The other ran. The lady was unharmed. That's a happy ending.

Sarah Hoyt on Robert Heinlein
Robert A. Heinlein: The Man Who Loved WomenI stopped caring about what anyone on the Left thought about Heinlein years ago. Most purposely misinterpret his works to make him into what he wasn't. Best just to ignore them.
