We Are Legion (We Are Bob) by Dennis E. Taylor

Bob dies, is cryogenically frozen, then wakes up 100 years later inhabiting an AI. He is placed aboard a Von Neumann probe and sent out into the great beyond to explore and reproduce, and that he does. There is a humorous tone to the story that appeals to me and that's what carries me through. Don't get me wrong. The story and writing are fine, but that's true of a lot of books. It's the humor that carries the day. It does end abruptly but there are two more on the way and I'm looking forward to them.
