I tried reading this sometime back and just couldn't get into it. Day before yesterday I picked it up again and couldn't put it down. Go figure. Highly recommended.
Same thing happened to me decades ago with Tom Clancy's "Hunt for Red October" Got to page 50 and stalled, for 3 years. Picked it up again, and read the whole thing in one sitting!
I laid Hunt for Red October down and still haven't picked it up. Then I read his other books religiously until Rainbow Six. I laid that one down and haven't picked up one of his novels since.
