Astonishing #39

I'm not really into Golden and Silver age comics, but every once in a while I come across a particular piece of art I really like. Yesterday I was visiting my friend, one of the co-owners of Books Do Furnish a Room, when a customer brought in his recent eBay acquisitions. One was Astonishing #39. The wonderful cover art was by, Carl Burgos, the creator of the original Human Torch. Astonishing was published by Atlas Comics the forerunner of Marvel.
